As renowned Lebanese artist, producer, DJ and activist Nicole Moudaber makes her much anticipated return back to her roots in the Lebanese music scene, she does so with an an evermore crucial plead to human rights and the fight against marginalization. Examples of Nicole’s philanthropic work include her continued contribution to the inclusion of disadvantaged young women in music at the Lower Eastside Girl’s Club in New York City.
After leaving Lebanon in oblivion, blocking everything regarding the past and the old mentality that expelled her from her own country, Nicole returns! She returns because today is not about them it's about us, 'the present and the future'.
The mentality in Lebanon has changed. In fact, it needs to keep changing and evolving with the new generation. This is where music and art play the biggest role: in shaping our society, our future, and most importantly, the freedom of life.
This Saturday, Nicole Moudaber and 2ndsun will donate all profits from walk ins to Qarama, our newly established organization fighting for human rights through our human dignity project aimed at supporting marginalized communities, specifically children in conflict with the law and women; and to Agonist coffee shop that is fighting for the rights of people with special needs through employment in their cafes. Agonist is a pioneering Lebanese business in the fight against stereotypes, where 8 out of 10 employees are people with developmental issues.
